چکیده
The radiation effects in electronic parts are called single-event effects, which deemed to be critical for space missions. This paper presents the Single Event Upsets that were observed an onboard memory device of Low Earth Orbit “Flying Laptop” satellite mission during its in-orbit operation. carefully mapped on orbital itself and their root causes investigated together with rates occurrence. Subsequently, events traced show several cause sources such as (i) trapped energetic protons leaking low altitudes within South Atlantic Anomaly, (ii) Solar Energetic Particles emitted by impulsive event 10 September 2017, (iii) Galactic Cosmic Rays. A profound analysis was carried out flight data, corresponding results actually agreement standard particle models. presented provide another important insight future

Mission Planning for Formation-Flying Satellite Cluster
The formation-flying satellite cluster is a new paradigm for space-based surveillance and remote sensing. In this paradigm, several small satellites fly in close formation and coordinate their activities so that through sparse-array interferometric and synthetic aperture techniques the cluster can effectively operate as though it were a much larger monolithic satellite. Management of such clust...
متن کاملSingle Event Upset (SEU) in SRAM
Radiation in space is potentially hazardous to microelectronic circuits and systems such as spacecraft electronics. Transient effects on circuits and systems from high energetic particles can interrupt electronics operation or crash the systems. This phenomenon is particularly serious in complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) integrated circuits (ICs) since most of modern ICs are implem...
متن کاملSingle Event Upset at Ground Level
Ground level upsets have been observed in computer systems containing large amounts of random access memory (RAM). Atmospheric neutrons are most likely the major cause of the upsets based on measured data using the Weapons Neutron Research (WNR) neutron beam.
متن کاملFPGA based On-Board Computer System for the “Flying Laptop” Micro-Satellite
The availability of new high density FPGA technologies enables innovative approaches to the architecture of onboard computer systems (OBCS) for demanding small satellite applications. In the paper, we present the architecture of a highly integrated satellite computer exploiting the powerful features of Xilinx’s Virtex-II Pro FPGA technology. The computing resources of the “Flying Laptop” satell...
متن کاملSingle-Event-Upset Sensitivity Analysis on Low-Swing Drivers
Technology scaling relies on reduced nodal capacitances and lower voltages in order to improve performance and power consumption, resulting in significant increase in layout density, thus making these submicron technologies more susceptible to soft errors. Previous analysis indicates a significant improvement in SEU tolerance of the driver when the bias current is injected into the circuit but ...
